You might think I’m describing some secluded island off the coast of Greece but I’m not. This is an average day in your new property in Langebaan.
Other than a beautiful beach setting that so many people dream of, Langebaan is also a gorgeous ocean side town. When you opt into the Langebaan Lifestyle you don’t only get pristine beaches, you also become part of a safe, welcoming, laid back community.

For the young (& young at heart), Langebaan is a hot spot for kite surfing, kayaking, sailing and fishing, to name a few! There are also water sport events, such as the Downward Dash, that are held annually at the Langebaan Lagoon .
For the less adventurous, however, the West Coast National Park National is only a few kilometers away, bordering the town, where you can see plenty of wildlife like Springbok, Kudu and even the occasional Ostrich!
Langebaan is also renowned by Birdwatchers from all over. Its protected waters and surroundings are home to over 300 species of birds.
If you think that Langebaan couldn’t get any more enticing, think again. The wild flowers bloom around August/September every year, transforming Langebaan into a town filled with unbelievable natural beauty. Beats the hustle and bustle the concrete jungle, eh?
In this beautiful little beach town, there really is something for everyone. So if the water sports in Langebaan or the bird watching aren’t your cup of tea, and you have a taste for the finer things in life, you can always play a game of golf at Langebaan Country Estate before heading off to one of the many events & festivals Club Mykonos hosts here regularly.

That is exactly what I did back in 2016. Both my sons had just bought one way tickets to the United Kingdom and I was about to be left with an empty nest.
